They can also help to improve control over your bladder. Pelvic floor exercises are simple and easy to do, requiring very little effort with the potential for tremendous gains.

Especially for men who’ve had their prostates removed, weakening their pelvic floor muscles, these exercises can make a dramatic difference in sexual performance. This also applies to men with diabetes or who have an overall loss of control over their bladder.

When you contract your pelvic floor muscles, you lift up your internal organs while tightening your anus and urethra. When your pelvic floor muscles are relaxed, it allows you to urinate and defecate. However, these muscles are also incredibly important when it comes to sexual activity.

In order to perform Kegel (pelvic floor) exercises, here’s what you have to do:

  • Locate the proper pelvic floor muscles – To do this, tighten your muscles and cut off your pee during urination. You can also do this by tightening your muscles before passing gas. Both of these utilize pelvic floor muscles. The best part is that once you’ve identified these muscles, you can do the exercise in any position.
  • Conduct your Kegel (pelvic floor) exercises – To do this, all you have to do is tighten your pelvic floor muscles. You do this by contracting for 3 seconds, then relaxing for another 3 seconds. You rinse and repeat this at least 5 times per day until your muscles get stronger. Again, these Kegel exercises can be done in any position, whether you’re laying down, sitting, walking or standing.
  • Be sure that you breathe properly while doing your exercises – Do not hold your breath as you do these exercises. Make sure that you breathe freely and naturally while doing them. You should also take care not to flex or tighten your abdomen or buttocks muscles.

3. Masturbation

One way to avoid P.E. is to masturbate prior to sex. This can happen one or two hours prior to penetration. However, if you have trouble with P.E., masturbation might be a solution without having to resort to other more invasive procedures or methods. In fact, masturbation helps control the ejaculation reflex.

By masturbating at least once or twice per day, you can desensitize your reflex to ejaculate. And when masturbating, you need to pay close attention to the point just before you ejaculate. This is also called the point of no return. The goal is to masturbate then stop just before ejaculating to help control reflex. This is also known as the start-stop technique.

Some also use something called the squeeze technique, which is a recommended way to help avoid premature ejaculation through a two-step process.
